I was searching through Sephora online for Masque when I came across these facial mask by Masqueology. There are 3 packets in a box for $24/box. I never tried these all over facial mask before and was very intrigued.... so I ordered two boxes. I used to have very oily skin but through the aging process my skin has become a bit drier in some areas. My concentration is now on hydrating and moisturizing while lifting and firming... which seems to be the main concern for women 50+.

I received a small sample of this Algentist Targeted Deep Wrinkle Minimizer from Sephora in one of my past orders. I probably had it for months without even realizing what a great product it was. So one day I was searching through my "Product Sample Stash" looking for a particular item when this sample caught my eye. I pulled it out and said to myself, humm.... I think i'll try this tomorrow. Well, before I randomly try anything now I always look up reviews. I read a few positive notes on this item and decided to try it. It felt amazing on my skin and left me with a very matte complexion.... and that was the selling point because I have very oily skin.
Clarins Extra-Firming Tightening Lift Botanical Serum but i'm not sure where, probably Sephora. Anyway, I decided to use it one morning underneath my primer. To my amazement I noticed a few things immediately. First, my large pores were closing up, second, the lines in my forehead were disappearing and lastly, the skin around my eyes became slightly tighter. I don't have bags or puffiness but I do have fine lines due to aging but I was sold on how this product made my skin look and feel. The packet had enough for two applications so I decided to try it again the next day just to be sure what I was experiencing was real. Well, I noticed the same things happening again and I liked the results so I decided to purchase the full tube. This product contains 1.0 Fl Oz and cost $87.00.

My introduction into face oils was when I was 45yrs old. Prior to that I had very oily skin. Right at the age of 45 my skin changed from oily to dry. I did contribute this to my flight attendant career at the time and being in the different climates frequently. I remember my skin was so dry it was cracking around my mouth and peeling! I had to run to my Dermatologist and find out what was going on. I didn't know it was a result of dry skin, I thought I had some kind of infection because I would pick the flakes and they would turn red. My my.... when I found out the cold weather had caused all that skin damage, I was immediately put on face oils.

PMD Microdermabrasion Device. After not having used it in a couple of years I figured it would do the trick of shrinking my pores and smoothing out my skin again. Needless to say, I didn't re-read any of my instructions.... I just went for it. After going over my entire face (avoiding the sensitive areas like eyes), I immediately noticed some red streaks and I started flipping out. I was like... what have I done to my skin! I grabbed my Aloe Vera and started patting it over my entire face and it was burning like crazy. Finally it settled down and I had time to think and reflect on why this has happened.

I was searching for a new foundation so I decided to research Youtube and see what I could find that was lightweight. I picked the Chanel Le Tient Ultra Tenue foundation in 121 Caramel because most video reviewers that I watched said it was very lightweight and soft on the skin. I don't like a full coverage or really thick foundation because it just slides off due to the fact that i'm in menopause and could break out in a sweat at any given moment! So I normally don't wear a lot of foundations because of that and also that I'm retired and have no reason to wear it daily. But I like how my skin looks in photographs when i'm doing fashion post so I thought it was worth the investment.

As many of you know the Sephora VIB sale is approaching quickly and I have two very important items that I feel are necessary and crucial to the maintenance of your skin for anti-aging purposes. The first one is the NuFace Trinity Device which I reviewed here and the second is the PMD Microderm Device which I have not reviewed yet. I have been using both for a year and have continued to see great results in my skin.

In 2014, at 55yrs old, clearly you can see that my eyelids was starting to droop. The skin around my jaw line or jowls were getting a little hollow. By 2015 my face was fuller due to weight gain and my eyelids had gotten worse. I was having vision problems in my right eye due to the extra skin and I was very unhappy with my overall appearance. I decided to make some lifestyle changes so in April of 2015, I underwent Blepharplasty (Eyelid Surgery) which I blogged about here and on my YT Channel.

La Mer The Powder when it was first launched but I held out for a few weeks to see if I could find swatches on brown skin, I did find one person my complexion that had a video demo and after viewing it I just new I had to have it. It falls in line with all the anti-aging properties my skin needs as I mature.

This is my second purchase from Cover FX since last year. I purchased their Custom Cover Drops (read my review here) in two different colors and I absolutely loved them. Over the summer they came out with a wide range of Pressed Mineral Foundations in a huge array of colors to match a variety of skintones. I immediately found my color match with N80 and I was completely floored. I also purchased the Custom Enhancer Drops in Candlelight which I was totally excited to have based on swatches I had seen on the internet.

I was having serious dryness all over my body and even on my scalp after having total hair loss from chemotherapy which I am currently going through for ovarian cancer. I called my Dermatologist and she immediately told me to use organic Coconut Oil. I said what.... and she immediately told me this is what she recommends for all her patients that are going through chemo to use. So I headed to my local Coscto's to see if I could find some and you know I did... cause they have everything.

I'm finally getting into that Autumn vibe with a few items from the new YSL Couture Line and from Chanel. I have to say that both the eyeshadows from Chanel's fall line sold out quickly so I was only able to get my hands on one which was Rouge Noir, the other one New Moon is a part of their permanent line so I picked that up as well.

My goal with these tutorials and videos is to highlight makeup and how it enhances the skin specifically for women of color. I like my natural beauty but I also like feeling beautiful and seeing how makeup enhances my looks instead of changing my look totally. The video tutorial below gives you a step by step play of this tranformation!

I'd never thought about these Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colours until I saw a review on another blog and I started wondering if I could find colors that suited my complexion. I headed over to the Clinique counter and started swatching on my arm and found the colors to be very vibrant. My lips are a little pigmented and the inside of my arm is the lightest area that comes closest to my natural lip color so I can pretty much see how the colors would appear on my lips. These lip lacquers cost $18.50 and come in 10 colors.

Urban Decay Moondust Liquid Eyeshadows because they are one of my favorite brands. I'm in love with these moondust eyeshadows. They can be worn over any eyeshadow to give it some sparkle or they can be worn alone to give the eyes a hint of shimmer. I used Spacetime over a burgundy eyeshadow and the results were stunning. I'm glad that these came out just in time for the holidays. These were $22ea, I purchased mine through Sephora and they're also available on the UD website.

Normally I don't wear black in the summer but I just couldn't pass up this cute little Romper that I purchased from Target at the beginning of summer. The gladiator sandals I purchased from Amazon and decided to bling them up myself because they were so plain. You can find the links to the exact same gladiators and links to similar rompers on Amazon below.

I love wearing different color mascaras so when YSL released their limited edition set of 9 Vinyl Couture mascaras, I quickly snagged a few. These mascaras are quite expensive, they cost $29 each and you receive 0.21 fl oz of product. The colors that I purchased were 2 AUBERGINE, 8 DARK SPARKLE, 7 PURPLE, 3 GREEN and 5 BLUE. While the formula is nice, there's no lengthening aspects about it. I experienced lots of volume and separation, but I didn't experience any length. My personal preference would be to use this mascara as a top coat to add a little sparkle and pizzazz to the finished lashes. You can find similar colors by YSL in a different formula here.

I wasn't sure that I would like these Mac VersiColour Lip Stains because there wasn't any swatches that I could find on my complexion but I decided to order them anyway because I love the whole idea of having stain lips. I will say that they did not disappoint... these lived up to my expectations and then some. After testing and wearing one of the colors all day, my lips were stained right up until the moment that I began to remove my makeup and prepare for my shower. I had about 8hrs of wear time and I can't tell you how pleased I was.

I've decided to move away from department store skin care and upgrade to medical grade skin care because it seems to have the best reviews for new collagen growth and proves to be more beneficial for anti-aging skin. I am still using other items such as Retin-A, Retinols, Peptides and Peels to aid my skin in elasticity and firmness. I talked about all the products that i'm currently using in my latest skin care blog post 5-Steps to Wrinkle Free Skin as well as included a video demonstrating how I use each product in my nighttime regimen. Here's what the website has to say about each of the products that I purchased.
