Nails ~ Zoya Miranda Pixi Dusk

Nails ~ Zoya Miranda Pixi Dusk

In a way Zoya Pixi Dusk reminds me of glitter because it has to be soaked off as such.  Zoya has so many of these beautiful colors in a wide variety that guarantees there's something for everyone.  What I like most about these polishes is their staying power. There's rarely any polish chips which guarantees that my tips won't chip or crack while i'm wearing it.

Nails ~ Zoya Charla and Femme Fatale Spindle Web Nail Polish

Zoya Charla and Femme Fatale Spindle Web
I thought these two colors would make a great combination together. The colors are really a teal-blue-green and their are chunks of green, teal and blue in the Femme Fatale glitter polish.  I did a thin layer of gel along with a thin layer of gel top coat and cured both underneath a UV light.  Then I removed the sticky coating with alcohol and they were pretty smooth.  This allowed me to use regular nail polish to complete the look.

Nails ~ Zoya 2014 Fall Collection Nail Polishes

Zoya 2014 Fall Collection Nail Polishes
Zoya knocked it out of the ball park with their new line of fall colors.  I recently stopped by Ulta for some retail therapy and saw all the colors, I couldn't resist and had to purchase a few.  These aren't cheap by far, they cost $8 but in my opinion.... they are well worth it.

As an over 50's Beauty Blogger, I take my responsibilities as an amateur photographer pretty seriously.  I'm excited when my photos turn out exactly like I want them and even more excited when I get nice compliments.

I decided to take you behind the scenes of a typical photo shoot and show you my setup and also offer you some tips for indoor photography as well as lighting.

Nails ~ Zoya Mimi for Fall Manicure Fun

Zoya Mimi
I love Zoya and this is such a beautiful color for Fall. I always have a hard time choosing a color and once I finally decide which color I want, I have to do both my toenails and fingernails.  It usually becomes a production for me because I don't think I could ever change my polish more than once a week at most.  I just don't have the time required to dry my nails because i'm a Wig Designer and my hands are always in use. So taking some downtime to do a mani and pedi is such a luxury for me and I absolutely love doing such girly things every so often.

Nails ~ Zoya 2013 Summer Collection Nail Polishes

Zoya 2013 Summer Collection Nail PolishesZoya announced their 2013 summer sale on their Blog and Facebook pages that they were having a "buy one get one free" sale on their entire summer collection.  There were about 40 - 50 polishes to choose from and choosing was very hard because I couldn't find swatches for a lot of them on the internet.

Nails ~ Zoya Miranda Pixie Dusk

Zoya Miranda Pixie Dusk
This is Zoya PixieDust in Miranda.  It's such a beautiful color with or without a topcoat.  I wore it a day without a top coat but then I applied a topcoat because I wanted it to last about a week.

Nails ~ Zoya Pixie Dust Nail Polish Swatches

 Zoya Pixie Dust Nail Polish
I caved in and ordered the Zoya Pixie Dust Set.  The polishes sell for $9 each or $54 for the entire set. I'm very pleased with this purchase although I will say that you can get the exact same polishes (different colors of course) for $3.99 from Jessie Girl Cosmetics.

Jessie Girl Cosmetics sells the Julie G Gum Drops which I also purchased and will review next week.  I will also do a comparison video so stay tuned for that.
