Swatches | La Mer The Powder | Swatches | Video Demo

La Mer The Powder
I was very eager to pick this up the La Mer The Powder when it was first launched but I held out for a few weeks to see if I could find swatches on brown skin, I did find one person my complexion that had a video demo and after viewing it I just new I had to have it. It falls in line with all the anti-aging properties my skin needs as I mature.

Beauty ~ By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder, Hydra-Face Primer, Hydra Eye Primer Review, Swatches & Video Demo on Brown Skin

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder, Hydra-Face Primer, Hydra Eye Primer

Investing in good quality base products has become quite the obsession of mine as of late.  I've been reading the reviews on the Hydra-powder for quite a while and everyone kept saying how sheer it was so I really wanted to try it.  Not seeing any reviews on brown skin made me even more curious as to how it would preform and I must tell you that it did not disappoint!  Anything that is hyaluronic based automatically has anti-aging properties that prevents the early signs of line formation and wrinkles and now we're seeing it in other products besides face creams and oils.

Swatches | Sacha Cosmetics Buttercup Setting Powders

Sacha Cosmetics Buttercup Setting Powder and Compact Powder

Sacha Cosmetics finally made an offer that I just couldn't refuse, they had buy the Setting Powder at full price and get the compact powder for half price... so I just had to have it.  Some of the more popular YTber's with brown skin swore by this powder in favor of the BenNye's infamous banana powder.  So I wanted to put it to a test and do a side by side comparison in a video... you can find that video below.  Sacha buttercup was definitely less caulker and blended out more smoothly of the skin whereas the banana powder just kind of sat on the skin when I tried to blend it out.

Swatches ~ Lorac Oil Free Wet Dry Powder

Lorac Oil Free Wet Dry Powder

I've had these Lorac Oil Free Wet Dry Powders for quite sometime now, I bought them at a reduced price of $5 each from Hautelook which means that they're probable no longer on the Lorac website.  They offered a huge range of colors and I was very surprised at the pigmentation.  I ordered the white/transparent powder thinking it would look sheer on me but to my surprise it actually looks white.

Mac Prep+Prime Translucent Finishing Powder
Recently i've been using my Mac Prep+Prime Translucent Finishing Powder and I've been loving it!  I have others by Dermablend, Fashion Fair, Smashbox, Inglot and MUFE but lately I've been grabbing this one. It has very light coverage and my oils have been in under control even in this hot California weather we've been having lately.

It seems that all the Youtube gurus use Ben Nye products in their looks so I wanted to try it for myself and see if it's something I need in my collection. I ordered these productss from Camera Ready Cosmetics, which is a website that carries products used by many makeup artists. It's been so hot lately that I haven't been wearing any foundations.
