Swatches | YSL Mascara Vinyl Couture

 YSL Mascara Vinyl Couture

I love wearing different color mascaras so when YSL released their limited edition set of 9 Vinyl Couture mascaras, I quickly snagged a few.  These mascaras are quite expensive, they cost $29 each and you receive 0.21 fl oz of product.  The colors that I purchased were 2 AUBERGINE, 8 DARK SPARKLE, 7 PURPLE, 3 GREEN and 5 BLUE.  While the formula is nice, there's no lengthening aspects about it. I experienced lots of volume and separation, but I didn't experience any length. My personal preference would be to use this mascara as a top coat to add a little sparkle and pizzazz to the finished lashes. You can find similar colors by YSL in a different formula here.

Swatches ~ Mac Vamplify, MACnificent Me Luzmaria & Tresor, Dazzleshadow and Studio Sculpt Superblack Mascara

Mac Vamplify, MACnificent Me Luzmaria & Tresor, Dazzle Shadow and Studio Sculpt Superblack Mascara

I purchased the several items from the Mac Cosmetics store in my local Macy's and a few others online. I don't think that I have very many fall lipsticks so I wanted to add just a few to my stash.  I'm still not sure if dark lipsticks a flattering on women over a certain age but I couldn't resist trying these two colors since the swatches I'd seen were breathtaking and complimented the fall eye looks that i've been so eagerly trying.

Swatches ~ Lancome Dual Finish Foundation, Concealer, Skin Perfector & Mascara on Brown Skin

Lancome Dual Finish Foundation, Concealer & Skin Perfector

I picked up a few Lancome products recently to try.  My intentions was to pick up a liquid foundation and do a full makeup look using these products but I really wanted to try them while I was on my vacation over the MLK weekend.

Beauty ~ New Discovery Benefit They're Real Mascara

Benefit They're Real Mascara
I'm late when it comes to trend and to be quite frankly, I've never followed trend in the past... not even for makeup.  But I've been reading so many good reviews about the mascara by Benefit Cosmetics called "they're Real" I just had to stop by my local Sephora and pick one up for myself.

I have extremely curly eyelashes and i'm not kidding.  I few of the hairs actually curl so much that they touch the skin above my eyelids. Putting on mascara is such a chore for me because I have to use toothpicks to pull them down if I want to get the tips.

Because my natural lashes give me problems, it becomes so much easier just to wear false lashes rather than dealing with mascara.  I have to say there's very few times when i'm going out of the house that I don't have false lashes on.... they've become second nature to me.

Beauty ~ Loreal's Telescopic Mascara

I just started using the Loreal Telescopic Mascara and i'm absolutely in love with it!  I especially love the narrow wand because my eyelashes are so curly and this narrow wand really get's in and lengthen them out.  These are my natural eyelashes in the photo below.   I've been perming my eyelashes with a mild cream relaxer once a month to make them straighter for the last 20yrs.

Beauty ~ L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum

 L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum
I was searching for a product to use on my eyelashes at night that didn't cost an arm and a leg so I recently picked up the Loreal Lash Boosting Serum from my local CVS.  This product cost $16.99 and so far i've been using it every night before I retire.
