My family and I spent 4 days over the MLK holiday weekend at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. It's one of our local ski resorts that's about a 6 hour drive for us. It's also a big weekend for skiers because it's a 3-day weekend and the kids are out of school. I always book our condo over the Christmas holiday because there's always a huge selection available at the base of the mountains close to the village where there's ski-in/ski-out and walking distance to the lifts.

When it comes to earning money on YouTube, the figures fall all over the map. There's little we can do but hope that all of our hard work and efforts yield some sort of profit from month to month. Yes, we all feel YT is a hobby and something to pass the time, but when you're retired like me, you look forward to seeing that monthly deposit from Google in your bank account each month.

The Present - My hysterectomy is scheduled for June 23rd and I'm currently 56yrs old. It all started about 3 month ago when I felt some pain on and off on my right side. I was about 2 month out from my annual GYN appointment so I decided to just wait until then because the pain wasn't that bad. To be completely honest, I was in the gym exercising everyday and my life was pretty normal. During my exam, the doctor felt something on my right side and decided to schedule an ultrasound. About 3 days later I got the call with my results, the ultrasound showed a very large mass covering my right ovary.

I recently decided to replace everything in my makeup/office with mahogany furniture so that everything looks more formal. Initially on each side of my makeup table were two silver Helmer's that I purchased awhile back from Ikea, but due to my huge (not massive) makeup collection, I definitely needed more storage. There wasn't many options for mahogany storage but I came across these beautiful Stanton storage cabinets online that came in multiple colors.... black, white, cherry, antique grey and chestnut.

Now you can see all of my favorite athleisure wear and workout equipment all in one place. I've created a new Pinterest Board called Athleisure Wear & Workout Equipment where I'll be pinning all of my favorite items that I purchased from Amazon with direct links to where you can find them. People always ask me where I got certain items and now I can just direct them to this board.

My life is all about me.... sure i'm a mother... a wife... and a grandmom but I realized that i'm also the rock and foundation of my family..... I organize, coordinate, plan and communicate with everyone about all the decisions going on in their lives. So of course I have to keep me together because if I don't.... who will they call! I love going to the gym... I mean I love it. I go everyday from 1pm to 3:30pm and I love wearing cute exercise clothes. Now you already know I love makeup so I don't even have to mention that because I apply eye makeup whether I leave the house or not. It's a habit, I put on my contacts and do my eyebrows then do my eyes.... individual eyelashes and all. But as far as what I wear to the gym... it has to be cute and tight because I hate baggy fitting active wear. My boobs are my assets so I show them religiously.... bra tops, tight tanks and leggings is my thing. The younger girls wear cheeky shorts and bra tops showing their abs and cheeks and I love that they're young and comfortable enough to walk around showing their goods.... more power to them.... but all they see from me is a little top boob..... more appropriate for this over 50 gal! I can't believe that my Wig Support Strap Patent published on Nov 2013 is 2yrs old and that I am selling a product in the American marketplace. Fast forward to 2015, I have learned a lot about marketing and selling products. I started out selling on Etsy, then I moved to Amazon which I'm currently selling on and just recently opened my online store on Shopify. Between Amazon and Shopify, I am doing pretty good but there's always room for improvement. I have set some pretty amazing goals for my product this year which includes advertising and networking for more exposure.

I realize that this is my Amazon earnings from 2014 but I can assure you that my earnings for 2015 is quite a bit more. I wanted to make a quick video explaining how easy it was for me to profit from affiliate marketing beauty products on Amazon because... after all... I am a beauty blogger. My blog has been around since 2010 and I have 4870 pages indexed, at least according to my SEO analysis. Most page have photos and also affiliate links to products listed from either Amazon or Linkshare .

I can't believe that I've only posted once in the last week here on my Beauty Blog.... honestly, I'm not neglecting her it's just that I haven't taken the time to do any photography of the huge stash of makeup that I need to review. So.... this week I've been weight lighting very hard and have finally started to see results around my tummy and a few other areas as well. I made and uploaded two videos, one which I demo'd using the NuFace Skin Toning Device and another one on the Salonlabs Indian hair that I recently tinted lighter. There's couple of photos showing my makeup of the day which I always post on social media along with a detailed description of everything i'm wearing in the photos. I hope that you're following me on IG... I always follow back as well.

Some of the makeup i've been playing with this week. I think people get confused when I tell them that I spend 2hrs in the gym everyday working out. I think they expect me to not wear any makeup and go barefaced. Well... I always dress my eyes, I don't have any eyebrows so I always have to pencil and contour them in also. I wear eyeshadow eyeliner, mascara and individual eyelashes, about 4 on the corners of each eye everyday. I paid $3200 for upper eyelid surgery and i'm going to wear eye makeup until the day I leave this planet. I don't really wear my wigs to the gym and that's why most of my looks are without them, I also don't really sweat while i'm lifting weights so I can get away without foundation as well. Since I do all my cardio outdoors and not in the gym, I usually can go run errands after my workout and just add a little mineral powder to touch up.

I'm 4 days away from my 6mo surgery date which was April 28th so technically i'm 6mos post-op. My eyes have settled really well and i'm very pleased with everything. I still have a noticeable scar on my right eyelid that bothers me every time I apply makeup. It just reminds me that this wasn't a perfect surgery. But as far as my eyes being symmetrical and even, i'll say that they're pretty much on point.... at least I have no complaints. I'll always have a smaller right eye due to a childhood injury (yes I was hit in the eye with a hard ball), but my eyes are even as far as length and width.

I spent the greater part of my adult life as a Flight Attendant for Northwest Airlines. Some of you probably remember NWA, which was later bought out by Delta Airlines. My flight attendant career spanned almost 20yrs until I retired in 2008.
As I look back over my career, traveling around the world, site seeing and meeting so many wonderful people, I can't help but realize how blessed I was. I've been in numerous emergencies throughout my career but none as devastating as the 9/11 tragedy... so for this reason I feel blessed.

I'm exactly three months post-op from my eyelid surgery and my eyes are still changing. I can say that finally all the feeling has came back into my eyelids and my eyelashes are now going in the same direction. lot of people ask me if I would do it again and the answer is always yes. I can see much better, although there is still 50% vision loss in my right eye due to Coloboma which you can read my story here. Overall, i'm very happy with this surgery and I can't wait to see what my eyes look like six months from now.

Today is the first of a few items that I purchased on my shopping trip with my good friend who was visiting. I purchased these Jo Malone items from the Nordstrom's store not realizing that in the same mall was a stand alone Jo Malone store. At any rate, this is a limited edition candle in "White Lilac & Rhubard". The scent is so powerful and beautiful, the fragrance smells my entire office without even being lit. I don't burn my limited edition candles rather just use them for display. While I was in the store, I was also smelling the different cologne mixtures, the ranges are Woody, Spicy, Fruity and Floral. I wanted a cologne that came close to the scent of the candle and after narrowing it down, I choose the "Peony & Blush Suede" scent. I have been wearing this cologne everyday and i'm sure it will become one of my all time favorites of the year.

Time is moving so slowly, my surgery was April 27th but it seems so long ago. I've been doing a lot of comparison photos lately just to see how much of a difference there is. I have noticed that my right eye is forming a crease. This is helping to open it up a little. I had my six week post-op appt today and I had another round of steroid injections directly into the scar on the right eyelid. I won't notice how well this round will work until after a week or so. I'm still using the Mepitac tape over the scar every night to apply the pressure to it. Today was the first time that I really wore makeup on the eyelids. They are still numb especially the eyelashes, they just don't know which way they want to go.. up, down or sideways.

I have a love for the rustic outdoors... anything that involves hiking, running, biking and even swimming makes me happy. Thank goodness summer is here so I can finally enjoy all of my summer activities. Another thing I like to do is gardening... planting and watching the new spring of flowers is like anticipating the changes in seasons. When it comes to clothing attire, i'm a pretty casual girl. Most of my wardrobe is fitness attire and the rest is a mixture between Bohemian and Casual Chic.... no longer into the fancy dresses and heels.
