Juicing ~ Master Cleanse aka the Lemonade Diet

Over the weekend I embarked on another journey into the Master Cleanse aka the lemonade diet. I want to say right off, that this cleanse is not for the faint at heart!  Now just to recap, I have been juicing 2 days a week since Jan 1st.  I've chosen Thursday and Friday as my regular juicing days and this will continue as a part of my lifestyle and journey into wellness.

This past week I decided to throw in the Master Cleanse on Fri instead of juicing.  I found the ingredients on the internet and just hit it head on. BTW, did you know Beyonce lost 30lbs after her baby using the master cleanse.

Well, the master cleanse kicked my little juicing *&$#!  First off, the taste was really pleasant, it had a kick because of the cayenne but overall it didn't taste that bad.

Lately I've been having problems with my hands and fingers being cold.  I immediately knew that there might be a problem with my circulation.  So I started doing a little research in a few of the juicing communities that I belong to and all the literature I found referred to Beets as the source for improving circulation.

I discovered that beets has powerful antioxidants and are loaded with natural vitamins and minerals that unclogs the passageways of arteries and improves circulation.

So I decided to give it a try. I used beets, carrots and pineapples to sweeten.  I was very surprised at how good it tasted.  Now i'm juicing this drink two to three times a week and i'm happy to say that my problems are improving rapidly.

If there's one item that I purchased in 2013 that changed my life, I would have to say it was my Breville juicer. I actually bought it November 2013 so I haven't had it that long but i've been experimenting with it ever since. 

I initially bought it because I wanted to make fresh orange juice every morning, but I had to learn what other fruits to mix with the oranges to take away the tartness.  I really had to take time and learn all about the nutritional benefits of juicing and how to mix different fruits and vegetables for the maximum results.

Juicing ~ How the Breville Juicer has Changed my Life

I'm very new to juicing and I'm still in the early stages of learning how to juice properly.  The reason I started juicing is because i'm getting older and I'm experiencing some changes inside my body that i'm not used to feeling.  I've been a little tired and I don't think my skin is glowing and radiant like it used to be.  I'm not one to run out to the Doctor for every ache or pain unless it's unbearable, because i'm prone to muscle aches from yoga.
