I was searching for a new foundation so I decided to research Youtube and see what I could find that was lightweight. I picked the Chanel Le Tient Ultra Tenue foundation in 121 Caramel because most video reviewers that I watched said it was very lightweight and soft on the skin. I don't like a full coverage or really thick foundation because it just slides off due to the fact that i'm in menopause and could break out in a sweat at any given moment! So I normally don't wear a lot of foundations because of that and also that I'm retired and have no reason to wear it daily. But I like how my skin looks in photographs when i'm doing fashion post so I thought it was worth the investment.

Today I bring you some swatches and my thoughts from the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics line. These products were created in the early 90's out of necessity for products that were pure and free of parabens and fragrances that are known to cause havoc on our skin. At present, you can only purchase these product online from the company's website, unless you were lucky enough to have experienced them at one of the many upscale med-spas that are currently using them. Until now, they have been exclusive to industry professionals and spa venues, but the demand for such quality products has the company venturing in new directions. I personally have known about this brand for quite sometime so I was excited for the opportunity to try a few products and see how they preformed.

Beauty ~ My Thoughts on the #marcbeauty Remarcable Full Coverage Foundations Lacking Shades for Women of Color
When I first saw the thread in one of the makeup groups that I belong to on FB, I initially took the stance of feeling omitted and neglected by yet another high-end makeup line. I was feeling like so many of the others in the group that felt left out and a little bit hurt that out of 22 shades, there were only 3 for us to select from.

I have been loyal to the Fashion Fair Cosmetics Brand for about 30yrs. They were the first cosmetics company for woman of color to hit the major department stores. There were a few others back then but they weren't nearly as hugh as Fashion Fair. I've seen this company dwindle down to the bare minimum over the years and has since totally lost their competitive edge with the major mainstream cosmetic companies. These are all of the Fashion Fair Foundations that I own and I use them lovingly.

I am in love with this foundation! I know... I said the same things about Mac, Nars, Chanel, Lorac... etc. but there's something a little different about this one. The MUFE HD powder foundation can be applied wet or dry and it doesn't get real chalky once you wet your sponge. This foundation applies very evenly without streaking or looking powdery. The foundation comes in a double compact with a sponge in the bottom half that's well ventilated with holes so it can dry between uses.

I've been loving the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Oil Free Foundation lately! After uploading my latest post on all the Lancome powder foundation, concealer, primer and mascaras found HERE, I decided that I needed a liquid foundation to compliment the powder foundation. The powder just didn't give me enough coverage using it alone so found the perfect match to compliment it.

I picked up a few Lancome products recently to try. My intentions was to pick up a liquid foundation and do a full makeup look using these products but I really wanted to try them while I was on my vacation over the MLK weekend.

It's no secret that Bobbi Brown is one of my favorite foundations, she has absolutely knocked it out of the ball park with her range of foundation for women of color. I have never been disappointed with any of her products from lipsticks to concealers.
I've been wearing her Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation in 6.5 Warm Almond for over a year now. I still wear her liquid foundation and stick foundation but I prefer the compact because it's so easy to apply.

It's no secret that my favorite foundations are from Bobbi Brown and Fashion Fair, this is because their colors match my complexion perfectly and always gives me a flawless finish.
I love Bobbi Brown's stick foundations which I reviewed here, my colors are warm almond and almond. When I wear Bobbi Brown, I use their Illuminating Finishing Powder to set my foundation because I like the hint of shimmer it contains, not too much but just enough to give my skin a very beautiful glow.

(discontinued) is definitely a hidden treasure in the world of foundations. This particular natural finish oil-free makeup is being discontinued so I decided to post my recommendations just in case you wanted to try it while it's marked down to half price on the Stila Website. Update: This foundation has been replaced with the Aqua Glow Serum Foundation.

The Fashion Fair Chic Cinnamon True Finish Mineral Foundation it's a lightweight mineral foundation that i've come to love, it glides on very smoothly and gives a really great coverage, it's not an extended wear foundation because it's so lightweight and it actually reminds me of a BB cream. You can wear it alone or apply a powder foundation over it for more coverage. Since I live in California where the weather isn't that dry, I can just wear it as is.

I've never tried any products from Bobbi Brown so when I saw this Bobbi Brown Illuminating Finish Powder (discontinued) for half price at my local CCO, I couldn't resist. It's a beautiful lightweight finishing powder to wear over your favorite foundations to give your skin a flawless finish. This particular powder is discontinued but check out her latest formula here.

Guerlain. This foundation is very lightweight and blends perfectly with my orange/reddish undertones. I usually have to mix colors to match my skin tone but with Guerlain I have to say it was nearly perfect, almost as perfect as my all time favorite Tawny by Fashion Fair. My color in Guerlain was #25 Dior Fonce' and this foundation cost $57 for 10 fl ozs.

My obsession for finding the right foundation came when I discovered I had orange undertones. Needless to say having orange undertones is less common than someone with yellow undertones and having an endless array of foundations to choose from. So as my journey began, I enjoyed stopping by many beauty counters testing a variety of colors and taking home a variety of samples as well.
