Today was a video collaboration with my very dear friend "Mature Brown Beauty" on YouTube. We decided to do a holiday makeup collaboration and use glitter. All the products used are listed below as well as in the video.

This is a look that I created for Instagram with the Urban Decay Electric Palette. The colors are actually very vibrant, I'm just learning how to use my new camera. I have the Sony a5000 and it's really like a DSLR where I have to adjust all the settings and learn how to use it without using the flash. Hopefully the photos will become more "true to color" as I go along and get better at it!

I was having serious dryness all over my body and even on my scalp after having total hair loss from chemotherapy which I am currently going through for ovarian cancer. I called my Dermatologist and she immediately told me to use organic Coconut Oil. I said what.... and she immediately told me this is what she recommends for all her patients that are going through chemo to use. So I headed to my local Coscto's to see if I could find some and you know I did... cause they have everything.

I had the pleasure of doing a YouTube makeup collaboration with the very beautiful Desiree, can you believe she's 59! We decided to collaborate on a Date Night + OOTN (outfit of the night) video so we each did our makeup and showed a video clip of our outfit at the end of our videos. The makeup that I used in my tutorial is listed below as well as the video... take a moment to watch, then click on her video link in the description bar and watch her's as well!

This look is from 2013 created with Mac Limited Edition Manish Arora Palette which came out in 2008. This palette is filled with some very vibrant colors that can be played up or down depending on the time of day or the look that you're trying to achieve.

It's been a very long time since I showed my natural hair in a blog post.... honestly I just never think about it and that's really the only reason. My life revolves around my wigmaking business WigWeaves LLC. I have a patent for the Lace Wig Strap which I sell worldwide through Amazon and my website http://lacewigstraps.com. I also maintain a second blog dedicated to Wigmaking at http://wigweaves.com. I'm very hand's on with my YouTube channel, I make lots of videos that involves wigmaking tutorials, demonstrating the straps or giving wigmaking tips. My channel is very popular because of wigmaking but I feel a little disappointed that it has never taken off for beauty because at 56yrs old, I feel that I have a lot of great beauty advice.

Right after I did this makeup look I hit the gym... and well the rest is history! I took the IG #gymselfie pic on the right just after I finished working out and as you can see I totally wiped off almost all of my makeup.... but I still wear it everyday to the gym except for foundation. I have been wearing this Tom Ford Savage Blush all week, it gives me just a wash of color on the cheeks for a little glow... and no highlighter is needed at all unless you want that extra glow.

This was my first time playing with the new Sephora Truly Outrageous Eyeshadow Palette which was as limited edition palette. I was truly amazed to find how pigmented these colors were. I didn't swatch this palette because it was limited edition but the colors are simple gorgeous. I think it is still on the Sephora website until they sell out so if you like these vibrant colors, then be sure and pick it up before they sell out.

This is my last Lookbook post for 2015 and as you can imagine, I'm so behind on Lookbook posts because i've been spending 2hrs in the gym everyday. While I don't wear any real face or eye makeup to the gym, I do wear individual eyelashes and eyeliner. There's something about looking in the mirror when you're working out and seeing sexy eyes staring back at you.

I have to say that I love collecting skin care samples and rarely do I purchase from websites that don't offer free samples. Samples is my way of trying out the product before I purchase the full size, which we all know can become quite expensive especially if the product doesn't work for us. I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to organization and I like being able to find things when I need them. This is my way of organizing my samples, I use plastic ziploc bags and tape labels onto them by categories. I show this all to you in the video below and I also gave you a mini tour of my makeup and filming area as well.

Buying products that you use regularly becomes a chore especially when you run out and can't get to the store right away, that's what happened to me when I ran out of my favorite makeup wipes... my Witch Hazel Cleansing Pads. I knew that I had a bottle of Witch Hazel in my bathroom and I knew that I also had some cleansing pads in one of my drawers. So I decided... why not make my own! I made a short video showing you exactly how I made them.

Some of the makeup i've been playing with this week. I think people get confused when I tell them that I spend 2hrs in the gym everyday working out. I think they expect me to not wear any makeup and go barefaced. Well... I always dress my eyes, I don't have any eyebrows so I always have to pencil and contour them in also. I wear eyeshadow eyeliner, mascara and individual eyelashes, about 4 on the corners of each eye everyday. I paid $3200 for upper eyelid surgery and i'm going to wear eye makeup until the day I leave this planet. I don't really wear my wigs to the gym and that's why most of my looks are without them, I also don't really sweat while i'm lifting weights so I can get away without foundation as well. Since I do all my cardio outdoors and not in the gym, I usually can go run errands after my workout and just add a little mineral powder to touch up.

This is my first time using the Epicare hair removal tool. I'm used to having my facial hair around my mouth and chin waxed or threaded, both processes last for up to a month, probably because i'm over 50 and my hair doesn't grow back as fast as it used to. I initially had to wait a few weeks before trying this product because I didn't have enough facial hair.

I have been loyal to the Fashion Fair Cosmetics Brand for about 30yrs. They were the first cosmetics company for woman of color to hit the major department stores. There were a few others back then but they weren't nearly as hugh as Fashion Fair. I've seen this company dwindle down to the bare minimum over the years and has since totally lost their competitive edge with the major mainstream cosmetic companies. These are all of the Fashion Fair Foundations that I own and I use them lovingly.

I purchased my primer form Sephora right before summer. I had heard that it was very matte and left the skin smooth and oil free. But right after I purchased it, I began wearing powder foundations because during the summertime, my face gets too oily with liquid foundations. Now that it's fall, I decided to give it a try underneath my MUFE HD Foundation which is one of my favorite foundations.

I wanted this post to be an outfit collaboration also but I didn't have time to set my camera up on the tripod and take photos outside. I was wearing a very pretty pink ruffled skirt with matching pink strappy sandals by Coach. This is my first time playing around with the KVD Mi Vida Loca palette and I really like it. The only difference in the photo is the mac lipstick. I ultimately went with KVD Bauhaus Liquid Liquid but forgot to switch out the lipstick in the photo.

I turned 56 today and this was my makeup that I wore out to dinner tonight with my family. Every birthday I like to play in makeup and take lot of photos just to see how I have aged from the year before. I had my eyelids done as you know so I look drastically younger than I did last year.

In spite of the hot weather her in Los Angeles where I live, I manage to wear makeup today because I had a function to go to.
Face: Lancome Dual Finish Powder Foundation in 420 Bisque and 540 Suede. I try and create an bronzer effect by using the lighter shade in the areas where the sun hits and the darker shade around the perimeter of my face to warm it up a bit.
Eyes: Mac Texture & Brown Script Eyeshadows, Mac Local Wares Fluidline, Iman Nutmeg Eyeshadow
