I didn't start using concealers until I reached the ripe age of 50...now i'm in my mid 50's and let's just say, I don't really need them but I like how they enhance the look of my eyes. There seems to be a wide variety of concealers from high-end to low-end in a variety of shades for African American and women of darker skin tones. Over the last 5yrs, i've seem to have collected quite a bit. Some I have replaced due to the fact that I seem to keep reaching for them repeatedly. Below are my swatches and how I feel about each one.

I realized that I needed a little extra help while i'm waiting for the bruises to totally heal beneath my eyes due to my recent eyelid surgery. While researching the different color correctors online, I came across a really nice review written by another #woc beauty blogger who I absolutely admire. After reading her review and seeing swatches of this corrector, I decided this color was close to what I needed, so I headed over to my local Macy's to purchase it.

I hope your day is going well! I wanted to bring you swatches of a few of my favorite concealers. These concealers cost only $4 - $5 each and can be purchased at your local beauty supply store. You've probably heard of these already because they are very popular among Youtubers, but if you haven't, you'll be quite surprised at their powerful application and coverage.

I picked up a few Lancome products recently to try. My intentions was to pick up a liquid foundation and do a full makeup look using these products but I really wanted to try them while I was on my vacation over the MLK weekend.

Bobby Brown has surpassed all my foundation expectations, even beating out Chanel which I love. I bought this touch up stick in my color Warm Almond to carry in my purse. Usually the only touch-ups I do to my face is blot the oils away with my Guerlain Transparent Press Powder reviewed here.

(discontinued) is definitely a hidden treasure in the world of foundations. This particular natural finish oil-free makeup is being discontinued so I decided to post my recommendations just in case you wanted to try it while it's marked down to half price on the Stila Website. Update: This foundation has been replaced with the Aqua Glow Serum Foundation.
