I was searching through Sephora online for Masque when I came across these facial mask by Masqueology. I never tried these all over facial mask before and was very intrigued.... so I ordered two boxes. I used to have very oily skin but through the aging process my skin has become a bit drier in some areas. My concentration is now on hydrating and moisturizing while lifting and firming... which seems to be the main concern for women 50+.

I received a sample of this Algentist Targeted Deep Wrinkle Minimizer from Sephora in one of my past orders. I probably had it for months without even realizing what a great product it was. So one day I was searching through my "Product Sample Stash" looking for a particular item when this sample caught my eye.
I pulled it out and said to myself, humm.... I think i'll try this tomorrow. Well, before I randomly try anything now I always look up reviews. I read a few positive notes on this item and decided to try it. It felt amazing on my skin and left me with a very matte complexion.... and that was the selling point because I have very oily skin.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils to review for you. These lip oil comes in two flavors honey and raspberry, 0.025 fl ozs and cost $24 each.
I received a sample of this product but i'm not sure where, probably Sephora. Anyway, I decided to use it one morning underneath my primer. To my amazement I noticed a few things immediately. First, my large pores were closing up, second, the lines in my forehead were disappearing and lastly, the skin around my eyes became slightly tighter. I don't have bags or puffiness but I do have fine lines due to aging.

My introduction into face oils was when I was 45yrs old. Prior to that I had very oily skin. Right at the age of 45 my skin changed from oily to dry. I did contribute this to my flight attendant career at the time and being in the different climates frequently. I remember my skin was so dry it was cracking around my mouth and peeling! I had to run to my Dermatologist and find out what was going on. I didn't know it was a result of dry skin, I thought I had some kind of infection because I would pick the flakes and they would turn red. My my.... when I found out the cold weather had caused all that skin damage, I was immediately put on face oils.

It rained today so I wasn't going to go out of the house at all and take photos unless it stopped. By 3pm it stopped so pieced together this outfit and headed out with my Canon t3i to see if I could get some in before the night fell. It was still pretty cloudy out so I had to crank up the ISO to 6000... it's probably why my sort of burgundy hair looks kind of red. Nothing exciting to report about this outfit, the crocheted knit topper came from Macy's maybe 5yrs ago... the brown top was from bought probably around the same time and the skirt.... well I collect maxi skirts so I have probably two dozen of them!

I was searching for a new foundation so I decided to research Youtube and see what I could find that was lightweight. I picked the Chanel Le Tient Ultra Tenue foundation in 121 Caramel because most video reviewers that I watched said it was very lightweight and soft on the skin. I don't like a full coverage or really thick foundation because it just slides off due to the fact that i'm in menopause and could break out in a sweat at any given moment! So I normally don't wear a lot of foundations because of that and also that I'm retired and have no reason to wear it daily. But I like how my skin looks in photographs when i'm doing fashion post so I thought it was worth the investment.

In 2014, at 55yrs old, clearly you can see that my eyelids was starting to droop. The skin around my jaw line or jowls were getting a little hollow. By 2015 my face was fuller due to weight gain and my eyelids had gotten worse. I was having vision problems in my right eye due to the extra skin and I was very unhappy with my overall appearance. I decided to make some lifestyle changes so in April of 2015, I underwent Blepharplasty (Eyelid Surgery) which I blogged about here and on my YT Channel.

This is my second purchase from Cover FX since last year. I purchased their Custom Cover Drops in two different colors and I absolutely loved them. Over the summer they came out with a wide range of Pressed Mineral Foundations in a huge array of colors to match a variety of skintones. I immediately found my color match with N80 and I was completely floored. I also purchased the Custom Enhancer Drops in Candlelight which I was totally excited to have based on swatches I had seen on the internet.

I was having serious dryness all over my body and even on my scalp after having total hair loss from chemotherapy which I am currently going through for ovarian cancer. I called my Dermatologist and she immediately told me to use organic Coconut Oil. I said what.... and she immediately told me this is what she recommends for all her patients that are going through chemo to use. So I headed to my local Coscto's to see if I could find some and you know I did... cause they have everything.

Normally I don't wear black in the summer but I just couldn't pass up this cute little Romper that I purchased from Target at the beginning of summer. The gladiator sandals I purchased from Amazon and decided to bling them up myself because they were so plain. You can find the links to the exact same gladiators and links to similar rompers on Amazon below.

I recently decided to replace everything in my makeup/office with mahogany furniture so that everything looks more formal. Initially on each side of my makeup table were two silver Helmer's that I purchased awhile back from Ikea, but due to my huge (not massive) makeup collection, I definitely needed more storage. There wasn't many options for mahogany storage but I came across these beautiful Stanton storage cabinets online that came in multiple colors.... black, white, cherry, antique grey and chestnut.

I wasn't sure what these would look like on me because there wasn't any swatches that I could find on my complexion but I decided to order them anyway because I love the whole idea of having stain lips. I will say that they did not disappoint... these lived up to my expectations and then some. After testing and wearing one of the colors all day, my lips were stained right up until the moment that I began to remove my makeup and prepare for my shower. I had about 8hrs of wear time and I can't tell you how pleased I was.

I've decided to move away from department store skin care and upgrade to medical grade skin care because it seems to have the best reviews for new collagen growth and proves to be more beneficial for anti-aging skin. I am still using other items such as Retin-A, Retinols, Peptides and Peels to aid my skin in elasticity and firmness. I talked about all the products that i'm currently using in my latest skin care blog post 5-Steps to Wrinkle Free Skin as well as included a video demonstrating how I use each product in my nighttime regimen. Here's what the website has to say about each of the products that I purchased.

This is my very first Pat McGrath Labs purchase... yea!! I was so excited to when Sephora pre-released this to all the VIP Rouge members early. It sold out within minutes of being released. This trio cost $70 and is also sold on her website. There were two versions of this Highlighter/Balm/Pigment which is formally called Skin Fetish 003 in Golden, the other color was Skin Fetish 002 in Nude. There are many ways to wear this trio which contains the Balm, the Highlighter and the Pigment. I made a short 2 minute swatch video highlighting how it is supposed to be applied swatched on my arm.

One of the things I most love to talk about here on the Blog is items related to Skin Care. I visit my Dermatologist once a year and leave with an abundance of information and sample products to try. I'm not new to hyaluronic acid, I reviewed it here as one of the top staples in my anti-aging skin care regimen. This is the first year that I started using pure hyaluronic acid without being mixed with anything else. I chose this brand by Timeless, based on their reviews and purchased it from Amazon. This is my very first step in my nighttime routine. I use it as a corrector and to prepare my face for the next step which is Retin-A.

One year ago on April 27, 2015 I had Blepharoplasty aka upper eyelid surgery. I was very transparent throughout the entire process and blogged the entire journey here on my blog (Blepharoplasty) as well as created a playlist on my YT channel (Blepharoplasty Playlist). While this will be my last post of this journey, I doubt that it will be my last plastic surgery. I really want to have a breast reduction, but I'm going to wait until I have totally transformed my body from fat to muscle, that way I will be able to see how much of a reduction I really need.

I bought these Colorpop Ultra Satin Lip stains under much hesitancy. I refer to my girls in our brown skin makeup group for the 411 on most of the affordable lip products that I don't normally buy to get their honest feedback. So when these came out, there was a plethora of comments and swatches with various opinions good and bad... just depending on who was swatching. Last year I purchased 14 of the original Colorpop Liquid Lipsticks, they were horrible on my lips and just not worth the efforts of applying. I finally gave them away to my friend's 16yr old daughter who just loved them! When these came out I hesitated but finally decided to get some of colors that I liked. There's 0.11ozs of products and these cost $6 each.
