In 2014, at 55yrs old, clearly you can see that my eyelids was starting to droop. The skin around my jaw line or jowls were getting a little hollow. By 2015 my face was fuller due to weight gain and my eyelids had gotten worse. I was having vision problems in my right eye due to the extra skin and I was very unhappy with my overall appearance. I decided to make some lifestyle changes so in April of 2015, I underwent Blepharplasty (Eyelid Surgery) which I blogged about here and on my YT Channel.

I'm finally getting into that Autumn vibe with a few items from the new YSL Couture Line and from Chanel. I have to say that both the eyeshadows from Chanel's fall line sold out quickly so I was only able to get my hands on one which was Rouge Noir, the other one New Moon is a part of their permanent line so I picked that up as well.

I'd never thought about these Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colours until I saw a review on another blog and I started wondering if I could find colors that suited my complexion. I headed over to the Clinique counter and started swatching on my arm and found the colors to be very vibrant. My lips are a little pigmented and the inside of my arm is the lightest area that comes closest to my natural lip color so I can pretty much see how the colors would appear on my lips. These lip lacquers cost $18.50 and come in 10 colors.

Urban Decay Moondust Liquid Eyeshadows because they are one of my favorite brands. I'm in love with these moondust eyeshadows. They can be worn over any eyeshadow to give it some sparkle or they can be worn alone to give the eyes a hint of shimmer. I used Spacetime over a burgundy eyeshadow and the results were stunning. I'm glad that these came out just in time for the holidays. These were $22ea, I purchased mine through Sephora and they're also available on the UD website.

I've decided to move away from department store skin care and upgrade to medical grade skin care because it seems to have the best reviews for new collagen growth and proves to be more beneficial for anti-aging skin. I am still using other items such as Retin-A, Retinols, Peptides and Peels to aid my skin in elasticity and firmness. I talked about all the products that i'm currently using in my latest skin care blog post 5-Steps to Wrinkle Free Skin as well as included a video demonstrating how I use each product in my nighttime regimen. Here's what the website has to say about each of the products that I purchased.

because I don't like confrontation with other women that are jealous of me because I don't look like them. I go to the gym at the same time everyday from 1pm - 3pm Mon - Fri. I apply the same face routine as you see in this cell phone pic everyday, I wear the same wig and always braid it to the side... sometimes I apply a liquid lipstick and sometimes I apply a chapstick. I take photos almost daily and occasionally post them to my IG page... something that I like to do. Well, if you frequent the same spot day after day... you're bound to get noticed by those that frequent the same spot also. Sometimes I make eye contact with someone as I pass them by and smile and sometimes I may have to ask someone if they're still using a certain machine..... but it doesn't mean that i'm flirting or trying to steal your man! So when someone walks up to me and ask how long I've known so and so... or ask if so and so has asked for my number.... I'm completely dumbfounded! The gym is my place of solitude.... I workout wearing my earphones so that I won't be bothered. I don't know anyone at my gym by name and I certainly don't go out of my way to talk to people at my gym. I'm very focused and into my workout and when I'm finished I might sit in the sauna or just leave.... just depends on how bad my body aches. So with all this said... don't single me out because I don't look like you... and because you're insecure in your own skin.... because I'm unapologetic for the Melanin that runs through my veins.

I bought these Colorpop Ultra Satin Lip stains under much hesitancy. I refer to my girls in our brown skin makeup group for the 411 on most of the affordable lip products that I don't normally buy to get their honest feedback. So when these came out, there was a plethora of comments and swatches with various opinions good and bad... just depending on who was swatching. Last year I purchased 14 of the original Colorpop Liquid Lipsticks, they were horrible on my lips and just not worth the efforts of applying. I finally gave them away to my friend's 16yr old daughter who just loved them! When these came out I hesitated but finally decided to get some of colors that I liked. There's 0.11ozs of products and these cost $6 each.

It's been a very long time since I showed my natural hair in a blog post.... honestly I just never think about it and that's really the only reason. My life revolves around my wigmaking business WigWeaves LLC. I have a patent for the Lace Wig Strap which I sell worldwide through Amazon and my website http://lacewigstraps.com. I also maintain a second blog dedicated to Wigmaking at http://wigweaves.com. I'm very hand's on with my YouTube channel, I make lots of videos that involves wigmaking tutorials, demonstrating the straps or giving wigmaking tips. My channel is very popular because of wigmaking but I feel a little disappointed that it has never taken off for beauty because at 56yrs old, I feel that I have a lot of great beauty advice.

These two palettes have been circulating throughout the Instaphere on all the popular hashtags that women of color usually go to to look up swatches... some of them are #mmwoc, #brownskinswatches #brownskinbeauty, #melanin, #forwomenofcolor, #browngirlbloggers... and a whole lot more. Well, the swatches are very questionable depending on who swatches them and how many strokes you're willing to use to get the pigment to pop. I swatched them live on the video then took photos afterwards, so you'll see the pigmentation and how many strokes it takes for some of the shadows to show up on my skin. For reference i'm NW43 in Mac foundations.

Beauty ~ Tom Ford Honeymoon Palette | Chanel L'Intemporel De Chanel Palette | Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Blush
These are a few items that I've been looking forward to wearing and creating some fun looks for Spring/Summer and beyond. The Tom Ford Honeymoon Palette was just released in the Tom Ford Spring 2016 collection. The Chanel L'Intemporel De Chanel Palette was from the Chanel Fall 2015 collection and the Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Blush is part of the new Chanel Spring 2016 collection

I know..... I know it's a sad situation when you just throw all of your precious blushes in a drawer never to be seen or touched again. I was feeling this way so I finally went to the 99 cents store and brought 10 of these small baskets, I also organized my highlighter drawer too. I probably have every orange blush known to man in my stash, for awhile I was collecting them and after counting 25 I said enough! Then a few of my readers wanted to see live swatches of all my orange blushes so I did a blog post and swatch video.... you can find it here. There are about 5 that I decided to keep on my vanity for easy access which were all the Tom Ford, Estee Lauder and Chanel blushes. I figured I might as well use them frequently since they're the most expensive blushes in my collection.

This is my 3rd Kat Von D Vampria Liquid Lipstick purchase. This color is Vampria and i'm slowly collecting all the colors I like. These aren't cheap, $24 and I must say they are well worth it. The formula is very moisturizing, not like some of the cheaper ones on the market such as Colorpop and LA Splash. I haven't tried Anastasia's liquid lipsticks which are $20 but I do want to buy at least one for comparison.

Tom Ford Cheek Color in Savage is one of those blushes that you really need in your collection. The velvety texture and smooth application screams love at first blush (haha). This is the third TF blush that I own, I own Wicked and Flush, both very well used and loved. However, with Savage I feel this will definitely become one of my daily staples.

One of the reasons that my mature brown skin has taken a turn for the better is because of these Cover | FX Custom Cover Drops. I pretty much only wear foundations on the weekends now but during the week I use a drop or two of each and mix it with my primers to add a little warmth and glow to my face as well as to brighten up my complexion. Notice that I didn't say to even up my skintone... I don't have an uneven complexion thanks to years of using a little hydroquione mixed into my nightly serums.

One of my December purchases was this beautiful Gucci Autumn Fire Magnetic Color Eye Shadow Quad. I have one other quad that I purchased when they first launched last year reviewed here, and I like the quality and packaging of their products. I wanted to add another one to my collection since I have gravitated towards the smaller compact quads. Although I love my Urban Decay big bulky palettes, these smaller quads are easy to carry for touch-ups if needed while on the run.

Today I bring you some swatches and my thoughts from the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics line. These products were created in the early 90's out of necessity for products that were pure and free of parabens and fragrances that are known to cause havoc on our skin. At present, you can only purchase these product online from the company's website, unless you were lucky enough to have experienced them at one of the many upscale med-spas that are currently using them. Until now, they have been exclusive to industry professionals and spa venues, but the demand for such quality products has the company venturing in new directions. I personally have known about this brand for quite sometime so I was excited for the opportunity to try a few products and see how they preformed.

This was my first time playing with the new Sephora Truly Outrageous Eyeshadow Palette which was as limited edition palette. I was truly amazed to find how pigmented these colors were. I didn't swatch this palette because it was limited edition but the colors are simple gorgeous. I think it is still on the Sephora website until they sell out so if you like these vibrant colors, then be sure and pick it up before they sell out.

I will be reviewing Chanel, Tom Ford, Gucci, Estee Lauder, Urban Decay, KVD, CoverFX this month here on the Beauty Blog. There are just a few items that I treated myself to for Xmas that I put under the tree, all which I will be reviewing and swatching this month. As always, I will use every product in a Lookbook post so you can see exactly how it looks on me. What were some of your makeup purchases last month?

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season! Normally I don't write blog post about samples, I wait and get the full sized product then mention that I had tried the sample which lead me to buy it. But.... I have to make an exception about this Phyto Stem Cell Gel-Cream because it is absolutely amazing. At first I didn't know what to expect when I opened the package because I'd never heard of a "gel-cream"... what would it look like? To my surprise, it was a white cream which applied like a gel....does that make any sense?
