Swatches ~ MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks | Swatches on Brown Skin + Video

MAC Liquid Lip Color Swatches on Brown Skin

These MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks are the bomb! I thought that I would try a few of these colors just to see what all the fuss was about. I actually ordered 5 of them but only 4 came. Mac shipping dept did something weird, three came in one box and one came in another box and I was like... where's the fifth one??? So I call them and the wanted to resend it but I just asked for a credit because I didn't feel like waiting another 5 days for it to arrive.... I was ready to photograph and swatch these babies!

Swatches ~ Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow Highlight Powder + Video

Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow Highlight Powder

It's back in stock at Sephora so hurry and get it while supplies last.  Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow was definitely one of the most coveted items in the beauty world this summer.  I tried and tried to find it but it was sold out online and at all the major beauty counters.  Finally I received a "back in stock" email from Sephora and I immediately ordered it.  I'm sure that I have something almost exactly like this one in my highlighter collection.... but you know.... I just had to have it.

FOTD w/Before and After Using all LE MAC Products
Wouldn't we say that makeup is a "creation of art" nonetheless we all go through some sort of transformation every morning to present our best selves to the world.  Today i'm using Bobbi Brown Foundation with all Mac LE products.  I really need to give my LE items a little more love so i'm going to incorporate them into my everyday beauty routine.

Swatches ~ Bobby Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation in 6.5 Warm Almond on Brown Skin

Bobby Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation in 6.5 Warm Almond
It's no secret that Bobbi Brown is one of my favorite foundations, she has absolutely knocked it out of the ball park with her range of foundation for women of color.  I have never been disappointed with any of her products from lipsticks to concealers.

I've been wearing her Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation in 6.5 Warm Almond for over a year now.  I still wear her liquid foundation and stick foundation but I prefer the compact because it's so easy to apply.

Swatches ~ Bobby Brown Cover Touch-up Stick in 6.5 Warm Almond

Bobby Brown Cover Touch-up Stick in 6.5 Warm Almond

Bobby Brown has surpassed all my foundation expectations, even beating out Chanel which I love. I bought this touch up stick in my color Warm Almond to carry in my purse.  Usually the only touch-ups I do to my face is blot the oils away with my Guerlain Transparent Press Powder reviewed here.

Swatches ~ Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Foundation in Warm Almond on Brown Skin

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Foundation in Warm Almond

It's no secret that my favorite foundations are from Bobbi Brown and Fashion Fair, this is because their colors match my complexion perfectly and always gives me a flawless finish.

I love Bobbi Brown's stick foundations which I reviewed here, my colors are warm almond and almond.  When I wear Bobbi Brown, I use their Illuminating Finishing Powder to set my foundation because I like the hint of shimmer it contains, not too much but just enough to give my skin a very beautiful glow.

Lookbook ~ Using Lorac Pro Palette

Using Lorac Pro Palette
This is an everyday subtle look using the Lorac Pro Palette.  I don't have on false eyelashes and I don't normally wear them unless i'm going out for date night with my husband.  Usually I put them on for my Lookbook photos but today I decided not to.

Lookbook ~ Sunset Eyes Using BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette

I came home from the gym and started playing in makeup, I wore this peach colored jacket from Bebe and I loved the colors so I thought, why not create a look to match.

Lookbook ~ Urban Decay Naked 2 Glam

Urban Decay Naked 2 Glam

I created this look using my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette with a touch of color on my lips and cheeks for contrast. I'm also wearing brown prescription contacts, I don't wear them often because my right eye has an oblong shaped pupil and the brown part of the lens covers my vision, so basically i'm only seeing out of one eye.  Maybe I'll do a close-up of my eyes so you can see what i'm talking about and explain all that has happened to my right eye including surgery.

Lookbook ~ Mac Color Form 5 Warm Eyes Palette

Mac Color Form 5 Warm Eyes Palette

I really enjoy using colors that I don't normally wear. I also don't think fall has to be about dark colors or smokey eyes.  For me, Fall is a transitional period for colors that are bright and vibrant to subtle and sexy.... sort of like toning it down a bit and being a little more understated.

Lookbook ~ Urban Decay 15yr Anniversary Palette

Urban Decay 15yr Anniversary Palette

Some might say I need to be a little more reserved for my age but those who know me wouldn't expect anything less! I'm really not a pro when it comes to blending bright vibrant colors and this post is probably a testament to that. However, I do like playing with them and that's all that matters.

Lookbook ~ Makeup Geek Poison Gel Eyeliner

Makeup Geek Poison Gel Liner & Mac Pink Glitter

For this look I used the pink pigment from Mac's Spring Color Forecast Pigment Stack 1.  For my eyeliner, i'm loving Poison eyeliner by Makeup Geek cosmetics.  It's fun and fierce and feminine and compliments almost any red or pink color you decide to pair it with.

Lookbook ~ Mac Sun Blonde and Orange called Lemon Drops

Mac Sun Blonde and Orange called Lemon Drops

I've never really worn yellow and I wanted to brighten up my mood and try something fun and interesting!  Yellow of any kind probably would have to be paired with a bold color to make it stand out.  At first I was going to use turquoise but I couldn't think of how to blend the two colors together.  After I started using the orange, I really thought I should have used the turquoise, I'll have to save that for my next look.  All in all I really like how these two colors play well together and how the look isn't that bold.

Lookbook ~ Mac Little Black Bow Fluidline

Mac Little Black Bow Fluidline
This is an everyday look I created using Mac's Little Black Bow Fluidline.  I just love it because it has a pop of shimmer which gives the eye a little drama without being too provocative.

On another note, I found a new photo program thanks to one of my Facebook friends, it's called PicMonkey,  It allows you to create photos in a collage with square or rounded edges and it makes our photos look amazing.

Lookbook ~ Purples from Urban Decay Vice Palette

Purples from Urban Decay Vice Palette

I'm loving the Urban Decay Vice Palette for some reason.  The colors blend well and are very well pigmented.  I read mixed reviews online where some people just didn't like the palette but for everyday wear it's perfect for me.  I know makeup artists don't want to have to keep piling on the color to make it show, they want one stroke and that's it.

Lookbook ~ Mac Crystallized Yellow Blue Green Glitter

Mac Crystallized Yellow Blue Green Glitter

I love glitters and I confess, i'm a glitterholic!  I wear glitters over my eyeliners at least twice weekly.  Mac has so many pretty glitters and it's a shame to just let them sit without using them.  I mixed three glitters by Mac to get this look, they were Crystallized Yellow, Crystallized Blue and Crystallized Green.  Mac has discontinued all their crystallized glitters a few years back except for the Crystallized yellow, they have replaced them all with all the Reflects Glitters.

Lookbook ~ Mac Lady Danger Lip and Grey Smokey Eye

Sometimes I get my look dead on and other times i'm hit and miss.  I like the color combinations of the grey's with the white in my inner corner.  Instead of using black to smoke out the grey I chose to use a deep blue which, in my opinion, doesn't make my look too dark or dramatic.  I can't say enough about Lady Danger which I just discovered recently.  It's a bright orange the I just love playing with.

Lookbook ~ Mac Sashi Fluidline and Jewelmarine Glitter

Mac Sashi Fluidline and Jewelmarine Glitter

I reall love glitter! I love it so much that I think i'm going to wear it until the day I die. To create this look I simply applied Mac's Fluidline in Sashi, it's a really pretty blue that's hard to describe.  Then I dipped my eyeliner brush in the Sally Girl Glitter Glue and applied that right on top of the eyeliner.  Then quickly I dipped my eyeliner brush into the Jewelmarine glitter and started patting it onto the glitter glue before it dried.  I tried to create a slight wigned look but with glitter you have to be very skilled... which I am not!
