How to Set Up a Blog on Google Blogger Blogspot

Contrary to what many people may think, I still prefer Blogger over Wordpress.  I don't have to worry about learning HTML and I can choose from many different standard Blogger templates or upload a number of templates from outside sources as well.

I prefer Blogger over Wordpress because Blogger is a part of the entire Google suite. Comments from your Blog show up in your Google+ stream as well as your YouTube comments and any other service that is a part of the Google platform.  Google makes Blogging on their platform very simple! When Google makes changes to any of their services we're notified immediately. It's also easier to get approved for the Google Adsense program to monetize your blog.
I prefer Blogger over Wordpress simply because Wordpress Blogs are more susceptible to being hacked, photos and large chunks of text become missing and can't be recovered.  Wordpress Blogs are often hosted on independent servers and monthly fees are required to keep them up.

With Blogger the only expense you'll have is the cost of pointing your blogger URL to a custom domain.  For example, your Blogger URL will look like this Once you point to your custom domain it will look like this
The minute you set up your Blog, you should immediately purchase your custom domain.  I recommend Register.Com or GoDaddy, I have used both. This should be done before you start writing any blog post.  The reason why is simple, you'll want all of your blog post to be indexed under your new custom domain instead of your Blogspot URL.  This will immediately help your page rank. You'll need to go ahead an purchase your custom domain before our consultation.  During our call, we will do the domain forwarding and get that out the way.
If you plan on making money from your Blog (now or in the future) you'll want to go even further and file for a DBA (doing business as) under your blog name. By doing this you'll have the option to use your DBA instead of your real name online.  For instance, I filed for my DBA because I wanted to use it on my PayPal account as well as on my PO Box and my online newsletter.  I used Signature Filing to set up my DBA, it's an online company that was very fast, easy and efficient.

If you have a product that you want to sell.... even if it's only one product, I can assist you in setting up your online store in Shopify. While we're on the call we can certain schedule another date and time to get your store up and running.
Most consultations will probably last one hour, though we may go over which is normal.  If you have any questions about my consultation structure, please don't hesitate to contact me via email at before you make your decision to purchase.

An online contract will be sent for you to sign before we begin our session and I will provide you with a conference call number upon receipt of your signature contract. All Consultation fees are non-refundable.

We'll Set Up Your Blog During Our Consultation!
