Enter Protein Shakes... I was always drinking them but only mixing them with coconut water and taking them to the gym. Even though I would eat before I hit the gym, sometimes I would feel a little tired before my workout was through. One day, I decided to add fruit and turn my shake into a smoothie. It was pretty good but I though I would like it more if it were frozen. So I started chopping up tons of fresh fruit on the weekends and portioning them off in sandwich bags and freezing them. During the winter months when a lot of the fresh fruit is 'out of season' I have to go with frozen fruit instead.

Protein is a must for sustaining muscle and encouraging muscle growth and I had to find ways to get the amount of protein I needed each day to prevent muscle loss. I fell in love with Quest Protein Powder which I buy from Amazon. It has 20 grams of protein per pack and 0 added sugar. I mix it with coconut water and my frozen fruit and I have so much energy during my workouts that I actually finish up with 30 minutes of cardio. One day I was on Bodybuilding.com and I actually saw a post where someone made frozen popsicles with their protein blend so can't wait till summer to make my own popsicle smoothies!
I choose these 24oz Blender Bottles specifically because they were 24ozs. I have some that are 20ozs but they just didn't hold all the blended mixture. What I like about these bottles is that they don't seep moisture. I carry my protein shake around with me while working out and there's no moisture seeping through the bottle. For me, I like to get my protein into my muscles while i'm lifting weights. It gives me an energy boost during my workout so that I can lift weights to maximum capacity.
