These MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks are the bomb! I thought that I would try a few of these colors just to see what all the fuss was about. I actually ordered 5 of them but only 4 came. Mac shipping dept did something weird, three came in one box and one came in another box and I was like... where's the fifth one??? So I call them and the wanted to resend it but I just asked for a credit because I didn't feel like waiting another 5 days for it to arrive.... I was ready to photograph and swatch these babies!
So where do I start... there's nothing new about the overall feel of the liquid lipsticks, they dry down completely matte and I didn't experience any transfer during the first hour or so of wear. I did do some eating and drinking to which it started to lift but that is normal with all the liquid lipsticks that I own..... so this formula isn't better than my other favorite LA Splash which I reviewed here.
What I really like about these MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks is that when you wipe them off, they leave a very nice tint on you lips. I have been putting them on, letting them dry and wearing them around the house, then I wipe off the top coating and apply a lipgloss and go to the gym. My lips have a nice beautiful tint all during my 2hr workout!
