Beauty ~ My 5 Step Night Time Routine to Wrinkle Free Skin + Video

 Anti-Aging Skin Care

In the past I had to pull teeth to get my girlfriends to tell me what they were using on their skin. It's no secret that most ethnic women hold back information in this area and it's not for the reasons you would imagine. Until a few years ago, I've been guilty of this also and it's simply because my mother use to always say "never share your skin care secrets" so I grew up thinking that skin care was a secret.  It wasn't until earlier this year that I felt comfortable enough to talk about skin care publicly, I finally made my very first skin care video and felt very liberated... now I can't stop talking about skin care!

I've always used some form of Retinol, Retin-A and Tretinion Cream on and off for the past 20yrs... ever since I was able to get a Dermatologist to prescribe it to me which wasn't until I was in my mid 30's.  I was always told "no" that it wasn't for my skin type (wtf!). Then I found a wonderful Dermatologist that actually gave me everything I asked for... so I married him (just kidding!).  Now that Retin-A has become so popular... you can actually buy it without a prescription. Although I do see my Dermatologist twice a year, and still get mine with a prescription, you can get it from Skinceuticals by clicking on the link below.

Retin A / Retinol / Tretinoin

On recommendation from my Dermatologist, I was advised to start using Peptides.  I'd heard of them but I just assumed that it was something that I didn't need because I was already using Hyaluronic Acid on a regular basis. These are the only to Peptides that I have, I have been using the Retseliney (reviewed here) for about 3wks non-stop because it's so lightweight and easy to use. The NuFace Powerhouse Peptide Serum is still in the testing faze for me. I really have to use a product for a few weeks before I can actually write my review so that review is forthcoming.

I can't say enough about this Hyaluronic Acid by Elite Serum (reviewed here).  It's the only one that I've been using for the past 3yrs.  I know there's ton's on the market but I just can't seem to get myself to try any other products. I am planning on trying a few that I've received samples for and really liked eventually... but for now I feel that skin care is so personal and when you find something that really works, stick with it.

Hyaluronic Acid

The Dermadoctor kakadu C Serum (reviewed here) is a must have in my skincare regimen.  It contains Vit C+E+Ferulic Acid which does wonders for re-building collagen underneath the skin.  I use it both mornings and at night and I feel it's one of those staples that will never leave my side.  I just acquired these cute little Vit C+E+Ferulic Acid sample sized bottles by SkinCeuticals a few days ago so they're still in the process of being reviewed.  Ya know how I love my high-end samples and I found the perfect seller on eBay that carry's nothing but the best samples known to man.

I am new to night oils.  I just really started using them and i'm alternating between all three.  I felt that my skin needed a little more hydration during the night now that i'm back on the Retin-A.  So far, i'm loving all three, my skin is very moist during the night and in the mornings when I wake up. My skin feels so smooth and soft to the touch... I don't feel that I have to use any cleansers in the mornings so I just use warm water on my face before I start my morning regimen.
