Swatches | Sacha Cosmetics Buttercup Setting Powders

Sacha Cosmetics Buttercup Setting Powder and Compact Powder

Sacha Cosmetics finally made an offer that I just couldn't refuse, they had buy the Setting Powder at full price and get the compact powder for half price... so I just had to have it.  Some of the more popular YTber's with brown skin swore by this powder in favor of the BenNye's infamous banana powder.  So I wanted to put it to a test and do a side by side comparison in a video... you can find that video below.  Sacha buttercup was definitely less caulker and blended out more smoothly of the skin whereas the banana powder just kind of sat on the skin when I tried to blend it out.

Buttercup is completely flash-friendly, with just one shade for all skin tones and skin types. It can be used to highlight, set your concealer or can be applied liberally over the entire face.  It does not give off the white cast or turn ashy in bright lighting or photos, as with other setting powders. Buttercup Powder absorbs oil, reduces shine and keeps your face matte for hours. It is finely milled so it glides onto the skin, blends easily and softens the appearance of fine lines and pores, without looking caked on.

For my preference I prefer the pressed powder for setting my concealer.  It's very fine and sheer and goes on flawlessly.  I use a small wedged sponge to apply it very concisely underneath my eyes, between my brows, cupid's bow and my chin area.  Although I only use the concealer underneath my eyes, applying the powder in these other areas gives my face a very nice highlighted glow.
