According to my standards, I don't have a large stash of Tom Ford beauty items. I love the packaging but it's not enough to make me spend money on items that I don't need. I have cut back tremendously on my makeup spending. I'm limiting myself to purchasing only those items that I need which compliment my skin tone. Since there's so many new releases with products that aren't #woc friendly, this has allowed me to start using up a lot of products from my stash. Below are highlights of these items along with links to my written reviews where you can find lots of photos of each.
Tom Ford Blush in Flush -
The blush is velvety smooth in texture and heavily pigmented. A light hand and fluffy brush brush is
definitely a must. The color is a matte
peachy coral that's absolutely gorgeous and compliments any skin
tone. It's the perfect blush for any
occasion and makes you feel naturally beautiful when wearing it.... it's well
loved by me and one of my ATF's.
Tom Ford Blush in Wicked - It's a very beautiful matte pink
that's not too bright but very pigmented. If you are a brown skin gal like
myself, these pink blushes can only be worn certain times of the year. I prefer
wearing them in the winter months when my complexion is a little lighter than
in the summer months. I reserve all
summer months for my beloved 27 Orange blushes reviewed here!
Tom Ford Bronzed Amber Illuminating Cheek Color - Ladies... this is one of the most beautiful
bronzer/blush combinations I've ever seen.
This illuminating cheek color can be worn as a bronzer or applied over
the cheeks giving a subtle warm glow.
For a women with brown skin like mine, this illuminator definitely takes
my cheeks to another dimension.
Tom Ford Stroked Blush Highlighter Duo - Stroked comes with a beautiful highlighter on top that has
subtle iridescent hues of ivory, melon and taupe with just a hint of shimmer
that ties them all together. I believe it compliments all complexions because
of the warmth and ability to blend out into total sheer-ness leaving just a
subtle glow.
Tom Ford Violet Dusk Eye Shadow Palette - When I read that the Violet Dusk palette was being
discontinued I knew I just had to have it. This palette has two shimmers and
two mattes. The colors are not that
pigmented but vibrant enough to create several looks going from day to
night. It's a great palette for
traveling and for everyday wear.
Tom Ford Burnished Amber Palette - This is a must have palette or every women of color that loves a
little luxury in her life. The colors are so velvety smooth and pigmented and
it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
This palette is definitely a travel companion as well creating multiple
one, two or three color looks to compliment any outfit or occasion.
Tom Ford Naivete Lip Gloss - This lip gloss is very pigmented and it lasted on my lips for over 2
hours. So I would definitely say it's
worth the money ($27) if you can afford it. It's dark and vampy and
looks gorgeous with sexy makeup and messy hair.
Tom Ford Black Dahlia Lipstick - This is one of those colors
that's not for the faint at heart! If
you already own Rebel by Mac, you'll find these two colors to be quite similar. Rebel has been a hot color for fall since
it's first release around 10yrs ago and Black Dahlia was launched as a LE color
for Christmas 2014.
Tom Ford Lips & Boys Miniature Lipsticks - These were limited edition lipsticks that were much
smaller than the original lipsticks and were only released for Christmas
2014. In this collection there were 50
colors released which made it overwhelming to choose from. I picked 9 colors which I though complimented
my skin tone and those that I knew I would wear.
