Swatches ~ Tom Ford Black Dahlia Lipstick Christmas 2014

 The Tom Ford Black Dahlia Lipstick started out as a limited edition item but it clearly was a hit and so it became part of their permanent collection.  It's the ultimate of vampy Bordeaux lipstick for fall. 

Now if you already own Rebel by Mac, you'll find these two colors to be quite similar.  Rebel has been a hot color for fall since it's first release around 10yrs ago. It's one of those colors that's not for the faint at heart!

Rebel by Mac cost $15 whereas Black Dahlia cost $50.  You can find it at most find department stores such as Saks, NM and also the Tom Ford website.  Yes it is quite expensive and definitely a splurge for me.  That's why it's going into my limited edition pile of stuff to be worn only on special occasions!

I'm looking forward to my trip to Las Vegas over NY's with my family, it's out guilty pleasure and we always go every other year and take in a show (more to come when we're actually there).  I will be rocking my Tom Ford Black Dahlia lipstick everyday with my vampy black winged eyeliner and Inky Minky lashes (review coming soon).

I personally think this is a color that compliments any skin tone.  As I mentioned above, a less expensive version is Rebel by Mac.  If you happen to stop by the Mac counter, take a moment and swatch it... you just might like it!
