Waist Corset Training For a Slimmer Waist

Well I have joined the band wagon on the waist corset training.  I've been following some of my favorite ladies on Instagram and they're all doing the waist corset training. Some of their results were down right amazing and I was convinced enough to give it a try.

I ordered my corset from Orchard Corset because it was located in the US.  I came across Corset Story which was located in the UK and a few on Amazon, but in the end I settled on Orchard Corset.  I ordered the "Steel Boned Longline Underbust Corset in Brocade Midnight Floral."  The cost was $84.00 and shipping was $5.95.  They had really fast shipping, I placed my order on a Saturday and received my Corset on a Wednesday.  I also made an unboxing video which you can find below.

I have to admit I was totally confused when it came to ordering my size.  I had watched quite a few YouTube videos on waist corset training and by the time I was ready to place my order, I just went with my gut.  You can find similar one's here and here.

A few ladies say to order the exact size that corresponds with your waist size while others say to go two sizes smaller than your waist size. There's a chart on the Orchard Corset website that gives you very specific sizing information and how to order.  But after watching the videos, I decided to order my Corset two sizes smaller.  Honestly, I have very mixed feelings about the size I ordered which was a size 22 when I probably should have ordered a size 24 to correspond with my waist size.

If you look at the photo above that shows the back view of the Corset, you will see that there's quite a bit of open space where the strings are pulled.  Not any of the ladies gave back views of their Corsets on YouTube so I honestly couldn't tell if the gap was supposed to be narrower or if this was normal.  The rule of thumb is..... as your waist gets smaller the gap becomes narrower.  I think I would have preferred a more narrower gap just so that the steel boning would align more towards the center of my back than the outer sides for more back support.

It took me 30 minutes to put it on, I was sweating bullets by the time I was finished.  I followed the instructions that came in my box and started from the bottom up, then tightened the strings once it was totally fastened.  You really need someone to help you tighten it until you get the hang of it.  Mines wasn't totally tightened to where I couldn't stand it but it could have been a little more tighter.  Well, I will definitely keep you posted!
