Menopause ~ EstroGel for Relief of Menopause Symptoms

EstroGel is a plant-derivative clear topical gel used for menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats.  I've been using EstroGel for almost 3yrs now and it has totally stopped all my symptoms.  I use it along with a typical Progesterone cream that is specifically compounded to match my hormone levels.  As you know you can't take one without the other.

I apply my EstroGel in the mornings on the inside of my arms.  I place one full pump on my arm and use my other arm to smooth it up and down both my arms, I avoid touching it with my hands.  I apply my Progesterone the same way at night right before bedtime.  The progesterone cream that I use has tranquilizing properties that makes me sleepy, so I sleep through the night now.

As our body ages, our estrogen levels drop below normal and this can lead to bone loss and other degenerative ailments. So i've elected to take EstroGel and Progesterone as preventative measures.  Since i've been able to control my menopausal symptoms now, i've also been able to control my weight.  I went from 150lbs down to 138lbs, a size 8 to a size 4 and I feel wonderful.  I do want to say that i'm 53yrs old and while I don't have any major problems, I do have lower back pain due to falling of my bike while my husband and I were bike-riding of the beach.  I wrote about it here.

  • EstroGel is the only non-patch transdermal estrogen therapy that provides relief of both moderate to severe hot flashes due to menopause and moderate to severe vaginal dryness, itching, and burning after menopause.1
  • EstroGel delivers a consistent, effective dose which helps a woman manage some of her menopausal symptoms more easily, day in and day out.
  • EstroGel is an FDA-approved, bioidentical estrogen therapy (ET) gel, which means the estrogen in EstroGel is similar to the estrogen your body produces naturally.1,2
