Nails ~ Orange and Gold Ombre using Julie G Nail Polish

I haven't been doing my nails because I have tunnel vision, whenever i'm extremely focused on one thing, I tend to neglect other aspects of my life.  I don't have natural nails so whenever I do them, I have to use tips and either acrylic or gel.  Using acrylic or gel is very time consuming and sometimes I just don't feel like taking the time to do them.

But then I saw these nails on the Manicure Addict's Blog and I just knew I had to try it.  I just loved everything about the colors, so much so that I even did my toe nails. Well, she's the queen of nails and I knew mine wouldn't come out anything like hers, but nevertheless, I pulled out my Julie G polishes and gave it a shot.

I'm such an armature when it comes to nails applying acrylic or gel and even polishing.  I literally have to clean my cuticles with a brush and nail polish remover because I just can't seem to polish them without getting nail polish all over my cuticles.

I also need to invest in one of those battery operated nail filers.  You can just see how uneven they are in these photos. I was filing like crazy with my little black emery board but with acrylic, you really have to pull out the more powerful stuff.
