Fitness ~ Cycling while Reading Beauty Blogs


One of my favorite things to do now that it's cold (besides skiing) is to ride my exercise bike.  I start my mornings off with cycling and end my days with cycling.... yep I cycle twice a day.  I just finished my hour long cycle, it's a little after 11pm and i'm so ready to hit the shower. 

In one hour I burned 798 calories doing what I love to do.... reading Beauty Blogs and watching Beauty Videos on Youtube.  I don't cycle as long in the morning maybe 30 minutes or so while watching the news and drinking coffee, I stop when the calorie counter hits 300.  My goal is to burn 1000 calories a day until I reach my goal weight. 

I've had this Life Gear Cycle for about 15yrs and i'm sure they don't make them like this anymore. I bet they're way more sophisticated and probably come with a built-in laptop carrier.  My husband tweaked the handle bars a few years back and now I can just put a book on it and set my laptop up and do my reading there .

How do you get your workouts in?

  1. I'm glad that you've found a routine you like to do to keep fit and healthy! I mostly just walk to school and work since I can't bear the thought of working out in a gym :p

  2. What a great set up! No need for a gym membership!

    We have a treadmill in the garage and since it's been so cold lately, the garage is super cold and I've been skipping my workouts :-(
