Wigmaking ~ Caring for your Lace Front Wigs

 1.      The proper way to store your wigs at night is by placing them on a Styrofoam Wig
Head.   Avoid placing pins directly into the lace, the pins will stretch holes in the lace.

2.      It is important to trim any loose hairs from the inside of the lace front periodically, this will keep tangling to a minimum.

3.     Before each washing, spray the lace with two types of sealers, dry with a hair dryer to

4.     When washing your wigs, put the hair from the lace into a ponytail, this will keep the hair
from matting.  You can easily clean the hair in the lace while it’s in a ponytail. Just avoid
rubbing and causing friction to the hairs while it’s wet.

5.     One your wig is washed and conditioned, remove the rubberband and immediately spray the lace with two types of sealers before combing.  You can place a hair dryer to the lace to stiffen if you wish.

6.     Comb the hairs from the lace in the direction you wish to wear your hair very delicately, avoid any pulling.  Do not comb the lace hairs again until your lace is dry.

7.     Recommend Sealers:  Knot my Problem, Pat Clear Acrylic Sealer, Pump it Up.
